An Enlightening Workshop!
Another sunny day kept spirits soaring at our last workshop, Age of Enlightenment on 11th June. The singers were tired, content and musically enriched. In addition to the expert direction from Scott Inglis-Kidger, we enjoyed a fabulous session with Ghislaine which focused on achieving a better choral tone.
One singer said: "The highlight of the day for me was singing on the balcony where we could feel the delightful contrasts in sound".
Another commented: "You are a faultless team - the 'A' team - and we are fortunate to be on the receiving end".
Inspirational Choral Workshops
Battersea Choral Workshops is now run by the Platinum Consort. Our management and artistic team remain the same. You can read about our 2012 theme - The Grand Tour - by clicking here, or on the logo below.
Platinum Choral Workshops take place in the beautiful river side church of St Mary's church, Battersea. There you will spend the day under the expert direction of Scott Inglis-Kidger and Ghislaine Morgan, top vocal coach.
Who are the Workshops for?
Our workshops are designed for reasonably experienced choral singers who want the chance to sing in a smaller group than most choral societies can offer. Or perhaps some of you were choristers at school or university and would relish the opportunity to get back into it? Places are limited to around 35 for most of workshops, so some advance preparation is helpful! Having said that, nobody is expected to be note-perfect on the day.
"Scott Inglis-Kidger was really marvellous and clearly a singer himself; supremely talented and knowledgeable."
"I learned so much and found the whole day extremely enjoyable; singing with very friendly and like-minded people."
"Both Scott and Ghislaine were able to match their obvious expertise with their enthusiasm, which made for a very fun day."
